Yes, I know. I said Limit Breaks on the Hyperlink, but I didn't have enough room to write it all in. Basically, I'll include info about each character's limit breaks and how they best work in battle. If you have any comments about using a character in battle, then e-mail me at:
PeteFF7@yahoo.co.uk
.
To make it easier to understand each of the Limit Breaks in the game, I have split each one into one of five groups:
Attack - Attacks the enemy(s) with one hit;
Mulit-Hitting - Hits enemy more than once;
Disable - Either casts a status effect or reduces there MP;
Heal - Heals your allies HP, MP and/or removes abnormal symptoms;
Aid - Cast something like Haste, Shield etc. on you team;
Death - Casts instant death on the enemy.
Yes, I know it may sound a bit weird what I've done, but it would really help in battle to know a bit more about each Limit Breaks before you use one. Capish?
Anyway, here is some info about learning new limit breaks:

Second Limit  Break in a Level: To obtain the second Limit Break in a level, a character must use the first one in that level (e.g. Braver, Blade Beam, Meteorain etc.) a certain number of times. For level one a character must use the first limit break 8-10 times. For level two, the character must use the first limit break 6-8 times and for level three, the charcter must use the first limti break 4-6 times.

Next Limit Level: I was always under the impression that a character needs to kill roughly 30 odd monsters, however, some people say that you need to kill 120 odd monsters. I'm not sure which one is true, so lets say 120 monsters. However, a character doesn't need to know both limit breaks to move up a level. For example, Cloud can move onto Level 2 without learning Cross-Slash. However, this has problems...

Limit Level 4: For a character to learn their Level 4 limit break, they must:
1: Have the right item to learn it. Don't worry, I'll tell you what the item is and where to find it, and
2: Must have learnt all six previous Limit Breaks.
Anyway, here is the info on all character's limit breaks and how to obtain them:

Site/FF Q&A
Name: Cloud Strife
Weapon: Sword
Ultimate Weapon: Ultima Weapon
All of Cloud's Limit Breaks involve attacking the enemy. They are probably the powerful ones in the game, so make sure you start building them up.

Limit Breaks:

Level 1
Name: Braver
Type: Attack
Hits: 1 enemy
Info: Cloud jumps in the air, and slices one enemy with his sword. Said to be the better of the two level one limit breaks - unless your facing a strong-non-bosses enemy.

Name: Cross-Slash
Type: Attack
Hits: 1 enemy
Note: It is possible to parazlise an enemy with this Limit Break
Info: Cloud slashes the enemy three times with his sword, making a rather cool image appear. If the enemy isn't immune to being Paralysed, he will paralyse them (Note: Even though Cloud slashes the enemy three times, it only "hits" the enemy once).

Level 2
Name: Blade Beam
Type: Attack
Hits: All enemies (targeted enemy receives most damage)
Info: After selecting an enemy, wave of energy come from his sword, and hit the targeted enemy. If there are any other enemies, smaller energy weaves will come from the targeted enemy, and hit them. The "second" waves are weaker than the main one, doing about 1/3 of the damage done to the targeted enemy.

Name: Climhazard
Type: Attack
Hits: 1 enemy
Info: Cloud stabs his sword right into the enemy, then jumps about 3 stories into the air, cutting the enemy from about the gut, well over it's head (unless it's a big enemy). Once you get this little baby, you won't be using Blade Beam, as this is much better.

Level 3
Name: Meteorain
Type: Multi-Hitting
Hits: All enemies
Info: Cloud starts swinging his sword over his head, leaps into the air, summons a huge group of meteorites and has them all hit the enemies. Cool! This attack is
almost as strong as Omnislash, and could easily be said to be his second best Limit Break.

Name: Finishing Touch
Type: Death/Attack
Hits: All enemies
Info: After creating a whirlwind, Cloud throws it at all of the enemies on screen. It sucks them up, and if their weak (I.E. is a low levelled monster), will instantly kill them. Otherwise, they will fall back down and receive damage. Because of the damage it can do, this attack is better than Barrets move - Hammerblow (see Barret's Limit Breaks to find out more). But this ain't as strong as Omnislash or Meteorain.

Omnislash can be obtained by scoring at least 32,000 points in the Battle Arena at the Gold Saucer. Once you have enough points, exchange them at one of the exchange machines. Cloud also needs to know all of his other Limit Breaks before he can learn Omnislash.

Level 4
Name: Omnislash
Type: Multi-Hitting
Hits: All enemies
Info: Cloud's most powerful Limit Break. After charging up, Cloud launches himself at the enemies, and hits all of them (randomly) 14 times, then finishes off with a Braver. This is said to be as powerful/much more powerful than KoR - it all depends on his sword.
Note: Even if you don't obtain it, Cloud will use Omnislash in his final battle with Sephiroth.

Character Stats:
Fighting: *****
Limit Breaks: *****
Magic: ****
Overall: 14/15
As you can see, Cloud is one of the best characters in the game. He has good Limit Breaks and is a powerful fighter. His magic skills aren't as good, but they are still good. Besides, it's nothing a few Magic Sources can't fix.

Tune: FF7 - Worrior                           Tune: FF7 - Cloud's Theme

Name: Barret Wallace
Weapon: Gun Arm
Ultimate Weapon: Missing Score
Like Cloud's, Barret's Limit Breaks involve attacking the enemy. Barret's Limit Breaks are also powerful, so you'll want to build them up as well.

Limit Breaks:

Level 1
Name: Big Shot
Type: Attack
Hits: 1 enemy

Mindblow can be obtained by using Big Shot about 8-10 times.

Name: Mindblow
Type: Disable
Hits: 1 enemy

For Barret to move onto Limit Level two, he would need to kill about 120 monsters after he has reached Level 1.
